Our trip to Krabi
On the 2nd of November, Jarrod and I took a flight with AirAsia to Krabi for the weekend. This is our first trip overseas together (Malaysia and Singapore not counted =p) our little honeymoon....hehe...
We stayed at the Krabi La Playa, a beautiful little resort; 5 minutes walk to Ao Nang beach. The room, bathroom and bed were quite big. On our bed, the hotel staff placed 2 towel elephants, so crafty, so cute! =D
From our balcony, straight ahead, our view of the beach was blocked by another building,
but the swimming pool looked really nice and blue. 
On the first day, we had lunch nearby, NaNa restaurant. Food was not too bad, but pricey.
We walked around Ao Nang scouting for activities to do the following day. There were so many activities available, so many travel agents using different operators, all offering about the same price range. There were so many things I wanted to do here in Krabi, but we had so little time. Finally, I chose the 2-in-1 half day kayaking and half day elephant trekking.
Ao Nang beach was so so. The sand was light brown; the sea water wasn’t as blue as I hoped. But those hotels directly by the beach was really really nice... should be quite expensive =p However, the view of the ocean and its many many tiny islands nearby was magnificent!!
There were many Tsunami evacuation signboard around. Great for taking pictures with..hehe...Bahh....city people =p
Later towards the evening, the weather didn’t looked so good, but we still took a bus to Krabi town. 
It was pouring cats and dogs. On our way, some areas were flooded.
It was raining so heavily; we didn’t even get the chance to walk around Krabi town. Luckily I brought an umbrella =D 
Jarrod was seriously worried that if the rain didn’t stop, we might not be able to go back to Ao Nang. So we waited for the ‘bus’, which looked more like a Jeepney actually. It was kinda fun. Luckily Jarrod knew where to tell the ‘bus’ man to stop near our hotel…=p What a wet wet sardin packed journey =p
For dinner, we ate in the hotel's restaurant, Spices cos it was still raining heavily.
Furtonately we had a DVD player in our room, so we borrowed the Evan’s Almighty DVD from the hotel to watch for the nite. Instead, we stopped watching the movie halfway, and slept early. We needed the super energy for the next day. And I super prayed for beautiful weather!

The next day, we woke up early for breakfast next to the swimming pool. I really like the rooms that had a swimming pool access from the balcony...they really looked good =D
The hotel had a nice green garden. I really like that too.
After that, we went to the shops down the road to book our 2-in-1 Ao Thalane kayaking and elephant trekking. Shortly, a ‘Jeepney’ came and picks us up and brings us to an area called Ao Thalane. 
Surprisingly, we didn’t need to wear life jackets as the water was really shallow. 
Jarrod was so sweet, the whole time he was the one paddling while I took pictures using my handphone. The limestone cliffs were really nice, monkeys were cute, being out there in the sea was really superb. Breath-taking..
After that we transfer to the elephant camp.
Unfortunately we got ourselves a really naughty elephant that was disobedient to its master! Midway, it went to a tree and tried to push the tree down!! Jarrod told the guy to turn back, the elephant was so happy, going back was like so fast and so easy for it…We fed the elephant instead.
We arrived back at our hotel and went for a swim at the swimming pool..the water was really cold and clean. It rained again in the evening, but this time for a short moment. After the rain stopped, Jarrod and I went to Ao Nang for shopping and dinner. Shopping here are slightly more expensive than Bangkok.
The next day we had breakfast and took the hotel’s airport shuttle back to Krabi International Airport. Sweet Sweet Memories....
