Bangkok Hilton

After work on Thursday 27th March 2008, I rushed to Sunway Pyramid to catch the 6PM bus to Singapore =D When I arrived in Singapore, Jarrod's family brought me out to makan at a delicious seafood place =D yummy dinner with huge prawns and sotong...muahahahaha...

The next morning, Jarrod and I drove/rushed to Senai Johor for our AirAsia flight to Bangkok....
Look at the clouds.....and I super thank God for the fine fine weather and safe trip =D

Woo Hoo!! We have arrived in Bangkok!! We took a private "taxi" to our hotel...I kinda regret not using a meter-taxi... Anyway, we paid RM80 for our taxi ride which included all those tolls....and we bargained for that rate =p
We arrived in Hilton in the evening, and went straight up to the executive floor to check-in.
Yummy, refreshing orange juice or is it called tangerine? It actually taste like Mandarin orange juice...but I don't know...All I know that it's really nice and I drank a lot of that during my stay in Bangkok.

This was the view from our executive room =Out the window was the Chao Praya river and the surrounding area. Everytime we wanna go out, we need to take a shuttle boat to get across the river =D Most of the shopping areas are on the other side of the river.
Anyway, I really fell in love with the room...it's so beautiful...This is how I want my new room to be like.... white/off white bed sheets, and dark brown furniture =D I love their bath-tub with jacuzzi too...it was really huge =D
After checking into our room, Jarrod and I went back up to the executive floor for some evening cocktail. Lovely view from the highest floor of the hotel =D This is what I had for evening cocktail. ...and some alcoholic drink too =D

After the snacks, Jarrod and I walked around the hotel! I totally love the swimming pool. It's quite chilly up there because of the wind...but the view is spectacular!
I swam here a couple of times during the other night =D really really lovely...the water tasted kinda salty...is it because they put salt? or....?
We walked around the hotel area. Next to the hotel there was a row of street stalls with 7-Eleven too...I didn't buy anything...Neither did we eat there....So we took the 'Hilton' boat across the river, and walk to the MTR station which was just 3 minutes away from the Sathorn Pier =D We had our dinner at MBK.
The next day, we had breakfast at the executive floor. I really love the waffles =D yum yum!!
After that, we took the boat across the river and headed to Chatuchak weekend market!! Woo HOo!! highlight for the whole trip! I didn't spend much money there this round. Maybe cos I feel so insecure of not having enough money =p I miss going holiday with parents =p

On our last nite at the hotel, we had dinner at the hotel lobby restuarant =D Check out the giant Prawn...scallops and sotong(calamari)

Last breakfast at Hilton...sniff sniff..till this day, I still miss the waffles....=*(
Before checking out, we walked around the hotel to take pictures....too bad we never spend time here...the seats look very comfortable =D

Cruising with my baby

On the 16th of March, I joined Jarrod and his mom for a 4 days cruise trip =D My first ever cruise trip!!
Woo Hoooo!! I've always wanted to go on a cruise...I was so so excited!! I even feel so excited thinking back about it too...=D so so lovely!! We joined the Star Cruises Virgo ship to Penang, Phuket and back to Singapore. The ship is super big! super beautiful! I was awe struck!
We started off by checking into our window cabins...they were very nice and cosy... fairly spacious too...I totally love it!! After that, we had our first western meal at the Bella Vista..such a romantic place...
The Bella Vista restaurant interior design was really grand...Being there made me feel as though I was in the Titanic movie ...ekeke... Before departing for Singapore, the ship had a cruise-drill...where we had to wear our life jackets etc etc.....Safety is very important at sea...Cannot play play!!
After the drill was over, Jarrod and I strolled all over the cruise..taking pictures...The captain's deck looks pretty cool...everyone looks pretty relax in there...I wonder whether this is an easy job? =D looks fun =DWe even followed the itinerary that the ship had planned for everybody...it was kinda fun... we tried the game Bingo several times during the cruise...but we were unsuccessful in winning anything leh...

For dinner, we went to the Chinese restaurant called the Pavilion. Their set meals were really delicious! everyday different menu! so never get bored! I liked that place alot, but Jarrod prefers the Mediterranean Buffet. For the remaining nights, this is what we did, we ate at Pavilion, followed by Mediterranean Buffet...I really put on a lot of weight!! cruise is not a place for people who want to lose weight...akakaka...
Every night, we watched different performance at the Lido...singing, dancing, acrobatic, strip show..etc...they were all really good ones too! Jarrod and I were really itching to try out at the casino...but we didn't really know how to play...we read the brochure, and went back to the room and watched the TV channels in the room to learn...We didn't do so well in Blackjack, and we tried Banker and player where we recovered some of our money, and won most of our money in Roulette...it was a really crazy game!! and very addictive...gambling is so so addictive!

The next day we arrived at Penang..This was Jarrod's first time to Penang. I ate my favourite AsSam Laksa at Queensbay Mall food court...I couldn't find Rojak or Muah Chee stall cos we didnt go very far away from the pier...By evening, we were back on the ship for dinner =D
Next day, I was so so happy =D We were in Patong, Phuket!! look at the below picture..yuck! there are so many fish, so so many!! i go crazy...
Our first destination was to the market with Jarrod's mom and friends! I love the market! I was so tempted to buy some seafood or fruits back! they looked so good and fresh!!
Later on, we took a cab to Phuket town...Look at my lovely lunch! all this for less than RM10!!
then walked a little, and headed for some massage!! wow! look at the price!!
By evening, we went back to Patong area and bought some corn to eat! I tried both the Grilled corn and steamed corn! both were just as good! yummy!!
What a beautiful view...I really like the ship alot =D
Patong beach area reminded me a lot like Ao Nang, Krabi =p
On the final night, we watched the infamous New York strip show...akaka...my first time watching one..and then watched a movie in the Picture House, License to wed. I was trying to make ourselves busy so that we won't gamble that nite...but Jarrod was so gian, we played roulette again.
On the last day, we gambled again, and ate alot here and there =D and gambled again...ehehehe.. and took some last minute pictures of the place

I really enjoyed my trip on the cruise. I can't wait to go again. =D
